The Joys of PMS.

I hate PMS.  There are many reasons why I dislike this time of the month so much…

Mood swings.  One minute I’m happy, next minute I’m crying.  And my poor fiance is left wondering what’s going on.

Hunger.  ALLLL the time.  I think about food all the time.

Bad skin.  It breaks out.  A lot.

Anger.  Things frustrate me easily.  Sometimes for big reasons, sometimes for little reasons.  And sometimes for no reason at all.  It makes me look cranky (as I was reminded by a co-worker today who asked me if anything was wrong because I looked “cranky”).

Tired.  It makes me want to sleep more.  And things make me tired faster.

Headaches.  No need to say more.

Bloating.  With the sensation that I feel like a small whale.

And other things that vary by the month.

Would you believe my fiance actually had the nerve, on more than one occasion, to say this to me while undergoing PMS:  “Um, how many years have you been going through this?  I mean, shouldn’t you be used to it by now?”

Unfortunately, men will just never understand.  Ever.

It’s happened over 200 times now. You should be used to it by now.
